Hi All,
Just getting into homebrew, had brief try once before when I was a student but it really didn't go well

Currently got a youngs brew buddy lager on the go, which should hopefully be ready to bottle after the weekend. Just gotta get enough glass bottles now! was going to go with 2 litre pet, but have read that the beer conditions better in glass?

Also got a demi of chardonay style white and have just mixed my first ever batch of wow.

The chardonay has been going for a week and still looks awful, the wow was made last night and already looks and smells great :)

Hi chris welcome to the forum. Any questions you need answering this is the place to come. Glass bottles are good to use but alot of people use PET bottles without any problems. Try asking your local pub for empty bottles or do what i do and go to the glass recylcing bins and help yourself! I get plenty of newcy brown ale bottles that way and they are good to store your beer in providing you keep them out of sunlight.

Yeah that would be my recommendation, choose a recycling bank thats really busy cos they overflow quicker and people just leave em at the side I'm just up the road in Atherstone and we get plenty of wine bottles from there, but i think pubs still get paid for returning empties to the brewery but you could try restaurants.
best of luck with ya brewing
