Currently, the coolest place I can find in my house is 24c. and I could do with putting a brew on this weekend to keep my cycle up. Do you think it's worth it?
cheers

Coolest place I have is a down stairs toilet which stays around 17-21C.

24c is maybe a little high but I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

I have a brew sitting in a water container happily between 20 and 21c for the last week in my kitchen , perfect for my brews which require 22c .

Wouldn't some fruity Belgians work with the heat?

Wine should also be good - that's all I'm doing until it cools down a bit.

I am halfway through brewing a Smash-saison hybrid ( marris otter and Cascade ) but using the belle Saison yeast from my last brew
shed currently at 26c its an experiment so not too worried about temps .

I put a wherry on Thursday night.been sat in a water bath with ice packs in and its been at a steady 20 degrees c. I just have to swap the ice packs over every 5 - 6 hrs

yeah, go for something like a wit, temp will be ok, will be done in a week & perfect beer to drink in the warm weather

Is wine less temperature sensitive then? How about cider? I picked up some demijohns on Freecycle and I could be brewing something but they would have to sit in the utility room and not in my brewing fridge.

Try to keep ales below 25 degC as above that you get some funky (hangover) alcohols. I know it's tricky in this weather even one my monster 3 phase glycol chiller it's taking an extra day to get the ales to Auxiliary finings dosing and racking temps. Oh and don't start me on trying to get my beers to cold filtering temps.....

When I get my thermometer out of a kitchen cupboard it has only been reading 19C. The room temp in the kitchen reaches about 24C in the afternoon but cooler at night. Because our kitchen has a concrete floor with quarry tiles it seems to be sucking the heat away. My current APA Cascade SMASH has been at 19C when I've checked.
A cool surface is maybe your best bet if you have no cooling. Or buy a draughty 1930s house like ours that is bloody freezing in the winter. It might be good for lager a later in the year.
