hey guys, just got my first ever batch in the bucket this evening.

read loads so i knew what i was doing.

i sincerely hope it turns out better than the home brew my parents made when I was a kid, back then it was cloudy beer that would strip paint and elderberry wine that would fuel rockets, oh and some fine ginger beer (non alcoholic).

ive made a coopers australina with 1kg of brewing sugar.

fingers crossed it comes out ok

Welcome to the forum,

I have been brewing the coopers kits since september last year & have no complaints whatsoever.

Have made four batches, all have been crisp in colour & great in taste. Can't go wrong!

Enjoy

Hello to you sir!

I have 2 x Coopers kits on the go at the minute, english bitter & also european lager. I did a coopers IPA a few months back and it was bloody gorgeous (was better after about 6-8 weeks in the bottles) as it started off a wee bit bitter. Also Muntons gold range are simply magnificent but pricey at around £22 - £24 each, but if your ever going to try one of those go for the Smugglers Ale, I did one lasy year and polished off the last of it in January, simply gorgeous!!

You'll get all the help and advice you will ever need on this forum mate, lots of great tips.

Cheers

Two and a half years later and I am still brewing away. Along the way I have experimented with making fruit based drinks and loads of kits. I am now looking to try my hand at biab. I am also on the lookout for a keg but money isn't in great supply so I will do that when I can.

Swmbo ain't too keen on my brewing but hey it's my brewing not hers. Yet to find something she likes (me included).
