Getting some yeast from a brewery.

The guys My local went on a brewery tour at the grain store brewery in Rutland and said he will get me some yeast
What form is this likely to be in and hoe do I keep it alive and well till I next make an ale ( in 2 weeks time )

It will be in liquid form, put it in a sanitised or sterilised container and keep it in the fridge.

Just spoke to him he said the guy didn't give him any as it doesn't keep well and I could go up anytime I want but it should be the day I'm brewing ???

My local brewery says to go up on day I need it, and he means it. Brewers tend to be very encouraging.
They will insist you take a properly sterilised container.

Only down side is that some brewers yeast just doesn't like the smaller batch size.

I have met the guys from grainstore in the pub and they are very friendly.
