Sorry to bring up an old thread, but was considering getting this to brew for christmas...
Now, since it appears this only comes out at about 3.8% abv, and I'm used to winter beers being higher abv (about 6% or higher), I was considering doubling up the cans to make a stronger version of this, and probably a bit of golden syrup...
So, has anyone who's made this actually tried it yet? What was it like? Any good? A nice wintry pint? Would a double can of this taste a little too spicy/over? Would I be better to just buy the 1 can and brew short to something like 14 litres with a bit of dme of sugar or something?
Any ideas from peeps would be appreciated :)
