Hi all.

I've been doing kits for a while (mostly Coopers) but noticed that my supplier sells Geordie lager kits (and Finlandia kits) for about £4 cheaper.
Is there a reason for this?? The Coopers kits are great...are the Geordie kits inferior or will I get a good brew if I order one?

Thanks in Advance.

Does that include the finlandia ones?
According to my supplier - they are great.

I don't really understand the difference - surely they are all just Malt and yeast?? Or am I being really naive?

Anyway thanks for the reply/replies.

as it happens i done a finnlanda dark ale kit a few months back. it was dirt cheap and i wasnt expecting too much from it.
i brewed it to 30 pints and it turned out very drinkable. ive only about 6 pints of it left but i would most certainly do it again. suppose its just down to personal taste in the end.

You could always use brew enhancer or spray malt to try and give a much better taste. My friend swears by brew enhancer on the cheap kits when he does a cheap and chearful batch.

Only problem you will have is you end up buying a brew enhancer and then the overall total is more expensive than your coopers kit. Lol

Not tried the Geordie kits myself, but I did notice they were always cheaper.
