Just noticed a new no-rinse sanitiser on the malt miller, at least I think its new. By the looks of the ingredients it is a clone of star san.

It is more expensive than genuine Starsan
The homebrew shop is £13.20 for 454g of star san . . . Rob is £10.00 for 340g

13.20/454 = 2.907p per g and robs is 10 / 340 is 2.941 p per g . . So just cheaper . . . not worked it out on bigger volumes.

HOWEVER the one thing that I think they BOTH have wrong is treating the us oz measure as a weight . . . and assuming it's English . . . it is MUCH more likely to be fluid oz . . . and in the US the fl oz is bigger than the UK one (29.573 compared to 28.412 ml )

Therefore the Sums become

(13.2 / (16 * 29.573 ) ) = 2.789 p per ml and robs is 10 / 250 = 0.04 p per ml7 . . . making the home brew shop price MUCH Cheaper . . . and I'm hesitating to do it for the US Gallon Size . . .

Oh What The Heck . . . 48 / 3785 = 1.268 p per ml

However as I always buy grain from Rob it is cost effective to add some 'No Rinse Sanitiser' to the order and pay one lot of postage rather than two separate lots.

Mutter mutter . . . turning into a Yorkshireman . . . . mutter mutter . . . I'll be crap at cricket soon . . .

Rob seems to be branching out a little into his own " Brands " of merchandise.......good luck to him.

Hi,

I sell two sizes, if you look at both you will be able to see how the pricing is favourable. More to follow.

Rob,

Any chance of you selling those plastic 'crown cap' reseals in a decent quantity for a decent price? There must be places where you can buy them by the 500/1000 . . . for a pittance . . . LHBS prices for them are insane

Cheers

Tony
