I did a wheat beer and added 1 bag of frozen raspberries from tesco, had a slight sharp taste, think you will need a good 5-6 bags to get the full effect

Yeah I was thinking about 3/4 bags of the frozen ones from aldi did ya just thaw them in bag crush them up a bit then open bags pour in secondary and rack beer on for few days

I did a Raspberry wheat, used frozen beries, whole, came out well, a tad tart however.
Am drinking a Kiwi Wheat(amongst others) at present, very nice indeed:thumb:

I put them in secondary without a bag, from frozen for about 7 days, I would use 4 bags upwards, 350g bag size

Raspberry Wheat Beer sounds good, but unfortunatley it doesnt taste very nice. Raspberries are not very sweet, they are a little "tart" and when put into a Wheatbeer IHMO doesnt really work.
JMHO

My wheat beer was slightly tart with 350g raspberries, could add lactose to sweeten it

As a note, the Kiwi fruit was also frozen and i didn't add as much as the recipie suggested. May well try a Mango one :)

Kiwi fruit is too delicate a flavour to put in beer. Mango is more robust. There are quyite a few "mango" beers available, but havent tried one yet.
The Kiwi is really nice, will certainly brew it again at some point,it's subtle, not in ya face:thumb:

Summer fruits (mixture of raspberries blueberries and blackberries) 1kg and the 1kg of mango to hopefully prevent it being over tart.. Do ya think this could be good all frozen fruit by the way just going throw in secondary and rack beer on top

Bit of a mix, but it's your beer:) Think i would stick to one fruit. Blueberries are pretty bland so would they just get lost in the mix!. Blackberry might be good.
If using just blackberries (23 litre brew) try adding 1.5 kilo for 4 days in your primary FV ,then rack it off. Other than that with regards to quantities,i can't help!

The berries are all in one container got them in aldi as summer fruits do you think kg of them would be alright seen someone saying in earlier post raspberries make it very tart and bitter that's why I was thinking the mango would balance it had raspberrie and mango cider before and it was nice

My raspberry wheat was quite tart, some found it really nice others yuk!,i wouldn't repeat it. Have only evere done a couple of ordinary wheat's and the one Kiwi Wheat which is pretty good.
Experiment,see how it turns out.

I have done good load of wheat beers and always nice and the woman likes them to never done a fruit one before so this is a first for me. Suppose trial an error. nothing ventured nothing gained they say.. And I'm sure it won't be undrinkable at the end of the day

I'm going to make a Raspberry wheatbeer to GH recipe scaled down to 10 litres. I wish be adding 1050g of thawed frozen raspberries to the primary after 2 days. Should I put them in a muslin bag? When I make raspberry gin I strain through muslin.

How did this go? I am wanting to try adding raspberries to Weissbier, I thought about liquidising them first - any thoughts, tips?

Anyone tried a strawberry wheat? Was thinking of just mashing up a bunch of strawbs into a pulp and wacking them into the primary FV towards the end of fermentation?
