Hi

Planning a Wherry for next kit but would like to hop it up a bit. I have a small bag (25g or so) frozen green hops, scrumped from a neighbours hop bush. Smell great.

Couple of questions.

1. When do I put the hops in?
2. Will the unknown variety of the hops ruin the brew?
3. Any ideas for a DIY hop bag? Was thinking of tying up some muslin?

Many thanks

Dave

Instead of adding hops to the FV in a muslin bag, I suppose you could boil up some hops for say 10min and strain the liquid for adding to the wherry :hmm: .......don't know never done it

Unknown hops though

I'd stick them into the FV after a couple of days in a sterilised bag. You'll mostly get aroma rather than taste. Doing something like this was my first step away from kit brewing.
