I have a foxsat Freesat HDR and BBC catchup has stopped working when I try to use it I get the message below could any members who have Freesat see if their is working and let me know here, thanks.

"Something went wrong loading this programme"
Error code 02001

My HUMAX HDR is too old to have the iPlayer facility. But I use my Chromecast to view iPlayer stuff off the TV (not that I use it much) by using an app on my Android phone. Can you do that, or cast direct stuff to your TV?

I have the second generation (the one in the video) on my kitchen TV as i don't have a means of connecting to an aerial, a brilliant piece of kit and a decent price.

Hi Chippy,

I just checked my Humax HDR 1000 and got exactly the same message, so it's not you !
I'm surprised I haven't had some phone calls about it !

Humax no longer make Freesat boxes so I don't know if they will fix it ( if it's down to them !)

Mark

Humax set-top boxes are currently unable to playback content from within BBC applications (including iPlayer, News and Sport), despite being able to open the apps. We apologise for the inconvenience and are in close contact with Humax to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Thanks Mark.
I wont be happy if they don't fix it i use catch up quite a lot.

Remember those old CRT TV sets, your parents bought one & put it in the living room.
It only had 3 channel & just carried on working for 10+ years until smoke came out the back.

Now we have to buy a new smart tv or dongle thingy every 3 years because the old one isn't good enough any more.

Me neither mate , I've got 3 of them and a load of customers with them.

Humax make brilliant boxes, but Freesat shat on then when the third gen boxes went out to tender and Freesat chose another company over them despite humax being on board since the planning stages of Freesat.

Freesat also shat on the indi trade like me, with the new Freesat recorders only being available via Amazon and Currys and not through any trade suppliers.

Freesat is a great service, but those running it are a right shower !

I had a 60” Panasonic LED TV break down on me in April 2020, three weeks after the 5 year warranty had expired. I’m sure they now have poxy timers in them that are set to self detonate the most expensive part after a set time!

We ae currently in Wales at our holiday lodge having just taken out a new contract with 3 as our internet provider. Nothing we do will get iplayer to work though other services seem OK. Having just clicked on the link provided by Northern Brewer I see that people all over Britain are experiencing problems with Humax boxes and 3 is also experiencing problems so getting to the bottom of this could be tricky!
