5 Live reporting they are having a meeting about VAR today due to the awful decisions at the weekend, I didn't see them but apparently they were shockers.

I think it's time to let the refs make the decisions they will always make mistakes but VAR hasn't made it any better as its still down to a human making the final decision and it kills the atmosphere.
Unfortunately it IS still the refs making the decisions. The only difference is they are in a VAR room and not on the pitch. The system that was brought in to help the refs see what actually happened actually works. It just that the same incompetent refs are reaching the wrong decision even after seeing what happened over and over again.

So we have a ref on the pitch that will make a mistake and a ref watching a computer that also makes mistakes let's get back to the ref and the person running the line on the field making the odd mistake at least then the game can flow and these atmosphere killing var decisions will be no more.

Unfortunately, the “odd mistake”, particularly at PL level, can cost a club literally millions of pounds which is why it was brought in in the first place. To rectify “clear and obvious errors” made on the pitch. I suppose they didn’t expect was that the ref in the VAR room would make these errors too. There is nothing wrong with the technology, the issue is with the incompetence and the inconsistencies of the people using it. I still think it has a part to play in sport but we need to change that someone can spend 3-4 minutes watching an incident and then still get the decision wrong 🙄

I don't agree, its killing the game and you cannot stop mistake happening so they will continue to happen, get rid of VAR and lets have the excitement back.

Here's a different idea, play the VAR video on the big screens in the ground so all fans and TV viewers can see what they base their decision on.

I got Bristol to win 1-0 at 54/1. Which is strange because they were 17/1 to just win the game.

That has to be worth a punt we wouldn't be the first team to be put out by a lower league team and with the way our luck has been going lately you never know.

Not onwards and upwards, that's for sure. Any faint hope of a title charge is well and truly gone.
