I’m planning a salted caramel beer and have obtained fat and sugar free syrup with the intention of adding it post fermentation.....

Any ideas on a starting point for adding it (ml/l)??

That sounds ace! My favourite ice cream flavour. Would love to try one when it's ready!

What about buying a similar style of beer from the shop; stout for example. Split it into a few different glasses (volumes known) and then add different amounts: i.e. a little, plenty, loads.

See what you like and then work out the ratio of syrup to beer and apply that to your total batch volume?
