Hi all, i have a question regarding adding finings A and B in my WILKO kIT, instructions say to add these after 7 days once the fermentation is over, My wine is in the airing cupboard at a temperature of 25` and the air lock is bubbling every 5 to 10 seconds, do i need to wait until this has stop? before adding the finings or should i just add and then carry on with the fermentation. The instructions seem to be missing this bit of the puzzle or it could just be my lol, just not sure when fermentation is over and what to look for.

Any advice is very much appreciated at this time.

Yes ...the finings are to help clear the wine once fermentation has stopped.. if you have a hydrometer check the levels over a few days ..when they are the same fermentation has stopped...but as its still bubbling i would leave it a bit longer .. wilko instructions are just a guide

So fermentation is almost over when the airlock stops bubbling or close to it?. If I don't get two readings the same when i do thinks its over will fermentation start back up once I make it air tight again with the airlock.

Thanks for advice. :thumb:

"Once fermentation is over" is pretty plain.
Wait until bubbling has absolutely stopped, gravity is below 1.000, then give it those 7 days, then use the finings
