First Brew Virgin!

Hi all, bet you all get so so bored of us virgins asking advice! Well for the ones that are drunk and willing to help here goes!!

I have nothing at all to start brewing, I just want to start off as cheap as poss with the basic of basic ingredients. It would be very helpfull of you to give me a shopping list to start off with i.e plastic demi john etc etc and I would like to start off by brewing my own cider or alcoholic fruit juice/cheeky vimto/redbull mix or something of that kind.

Welcome to the forum
A few bits you need is a thermometer ,hydrometer ,some kind of fermenting vessel ,syphon tube plastic spoon /paddle you can have a trial jar for your hydrometer or drop it in the fv but trail jar is easier tbh

If you want to start cheaply, have a look on your local freecycle/freegle. Brewing stuff tends to come up quite frequently on there. :

Thanks for the welcome! I've decided on following the step by step djtrouble1982 has guided me to just for starters so i can get a feel for everything! Already purchased most things so i'll be starting my first wine effort on saturday. Just one more question.....can I substitute the white grape juice for a black grape or a white grape and blackcurrant for a different outcome?

I believe you can use most juices, as long as you use a grape use, and both must be 100% juice. I've done an original wow, a wgj with orange and pineapple and also done a wgj and apple juice one.
