Add some frozen water bottles, to the sink and swirl the water around by hand... takes about 20 minutes (stir wort) with 3 changes of water in the sink...works for me
In fact just done it 2 hours ago and pitched yeast.:thumb:

I think in hind sight I should of frozen some more things. I though I had more ice. At least I know for next time to freeze some water bottles Haha.

Best tip is to add a wort chilled to your Christmas list.

Well done on your brew, sounds like it went well.

Just whack your bottles in the freezer, the night before your brew day and you are all set. All the best...keep it simple....simple is good.

It finally cooled and I have pitched my yeast but not before taking an OG of 1.053 which I'm very happy with. This has been a long day and taken a lot longer than I anticipated but well worth it. Cheers for all the tips guys and I'll see about collecting all my pics into a guide for new brewers. Such a shame I have to wait such a long time to reap the benefits but once I get a constant chain going it won't matter to much haha

Well done! I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures/guide as I build up to taking on a similar challenge for the first time! That first taste will be well deserved when it eventually comes.

Well done on your first BIAB...I'd recommend a chiller, i got one after 2 BIAB brews because I was sick of waiting.

What was your recipe?

I own a chiller but I overnight chilled my last brew and it turned out great. Unless you want a specific taste profile I'll be doing this from now on. It shaves a bit of time off but also lets the trub settle better for transferring to your FV.

I think I might make a chiller from some copper pipe for next time. Bit of a faf to build I imagine. But I can't be bothered to wait that long again.

My recipe was 2kg of Marris otter and 200g of crystal malt with some fuggles hops. Hopefully it'll taste good

I'd like to give this a go but I lack a bit of space to be able to leave the stock pot where it'll stay clean and undisturbed. Hopefully moving in a couple of months so I can build a beer shed 😁 and fill it with chillers.

I used a chiller for the first time yesterday. Cooled the wort down to pitching temp in 15 minutes instead of the four hours it has taken before using ice and water in the sink.

I really want to bottle this but there is still krausen on top. :-( it is taking forever to drop to the bottom.i be not start taking sg readings due to this but should I start?
