ok first ever batch going well even tasted it and mmmm not bad transfered to fermenter and i thought the finings go in there then i was told oh no too late is this true or can i add to the barrel iam not bottling only using 2 barrels

where's the beer? In a fermenter? If so, add finings if you wish - leave a couple of days, then bottle/keg

Is it in a pressure keg? You could still add finings if you wish!

Personally I almost never bother with finings - probably because I generally brew stouts and darker ales, but even when I do a light ale I never bother, and no one's ever moaned about lack of clarity in the beer
