The Father in law has never liked my homebrew claims that I'm not doing it right cause I have sediment in the bottles :wha:

but the other day we were around their house having a drink and the wife had a pint of my Admirals reserve sitting next to the father in law who was drinking Boddingtons  by mistake he picked up her glass and quite happily drank most of it before realising it wasn't his!
He quite grudgingly admitted that he had enjoyed it

I think many people will dislike homebrew only if you tell them it's homebrew.

My brother in law has come to our house christmas evenings for most of the last 30 odd years. He all way refused to try my beers, only drank **** lager. A few years back he had discovered some the the bottled English ales had something the lagers were lacking, taste. But still refused my beer. Three years ago I got him to try one, it was so hard for him to admit he liked it so I accepted no negative comment was a compliment. Last christmas the first thing he said to me was how many different ales have we got this year.
