What are you brewing first for its maiden voyage?

What pressure you reckon you'll ferment at? I can't wait to get using it when Santa comes.

35 psi but you will need to purchase the pressure kit. The claim is, better than stainless, but the life of a PET fermenter is limited if pressure fermenting, around 2 years, but they are replaceable.

My first brew is going to be a simple NEIPA. Nothing over the top or complicated.

And if I'm honest, I'm not very clued up on the pressure side of things, so will keep the first couple of brews straight forward whilst I learn a little.

I will try my best. It was easy enough to assemble, everything seems really sturdy, the stand actually held my weight (102kg) so it's pretty decent. @Gareth Davies at Dark Farm sorted me out, there was a fantastic deal on over the weekend. I'm going to give it a clean this weekend and hopefully start my first brew Monday or Tuesday next week.

Interested to hear how this goes - I'm tempted to do likewise but can't decide between the fermzilla and getting another keg and fermenting in that.

Do you mind me asking what the deal on it was?

Im very intrested in this product. My original fermentasauraus now works and it is a really awesome peice of kit!

If I'm not mistaken, BrewToKeg have these in stock for £110, free delivery.... Please correct me if I'm wrong....

£105 at AHB.
There is several places around that are doing them for that price-ish. But Dark Farms included the Coat and Pressure Kit.

And it was £150.00 on a weekend deal.
1 x FermZilla 27L Tank with Butterfly Dump Valve Parts
1 x FermZilla 27L Pressure kit
1 x FermZilla 27L Jacket

Which when I looked at separately was nearer £200, so I snapped their arm off.

I've bought the pressure kit. I doubt I'll be fermenting at 35psi. Will be happier at between 10-15 as I'm feart.

NEIPAs are one of the reasons I've bought one. O2 exposure destroyed so many of my batches far too quickly. So incredibly sensitive to oxygen. The Fermzilla is just so attractive as they've clearly looked at it properly from a brewer's point of view.

The Fermentasaurus 3 is being released soon, if you are thinking of getting another PET fermenter I would be waiting for that. I have the F2 and am very happy with them.
