Fermzilla All Rounder Question

I regularly pressure test mine by filling with water then adding pressure.
And after 2-years be very careful!
And it's common sense to use a spunding valve as well as the prv.

The Keg King PRVs do not work properly in a Fermzilla lid - they do not seal properly, I imagine one dimension is slightly different. What does work, however, is to transfer the weaker spring from a Keg King PRV to the Fermzilla PRV and use that.

I thought they were all universal. A word of warning for all rounder users, make sure they don't turn rogue! A guy here lost his GrainFather to an all rounder, his shed and a load of other stuff. The all rounder set fire to the shed. Left it outside in the sun and the allrounder acted like a magnifying glass.

Ther are not universal - I tried the KK ones on my Allrounders and they leaked. Kegland warn that a PRV should never replace a spunding valve - it only requires a bit of krausen sticking the PRV shut and boom. That is probably what happened to the FZ ullustrated in post #15.

Yes I saw what Keg Land suggested, the one in the picture had stress fractures around the collar never got past 20 PSI lifted the collar clean off. The other thing is its advisable to not fill the fermenter uo beyond 75% any pressure keeps the krausen low the more the pressure builds the less krausen. So makes it impossible to get close to a PRV.

Well I was going to get a couple of PET fermenters but I will hold fire for the time being. After investigating them further it seems to be a regular occurrence and they do get crud in the spunding valves! But why doesn't the PRV activate. Seems like they are blowing before the set PRV pressure.

That is nothing to do with it being a Kegland product, that is because it acted as a magnifying glass. Any PET fermenter could do the same unless Keg King have some kind of magic coating, you are really starting to ruin any points that you make by attempting to make them about either Keg King or Kegland. Any PET container should not be left in the light anyway, as over time it degrades the material. I store my PET fermenters (from both KK and KL) in their cardboard boxes when not in use, to prevent this happening.

You specifically mentioned it being an KL product issue, when is is a PET FV issue.

You shouldn't leave any PET fermeters or any other pressure vessel in the sun ! That applies to any make, including keg king (fermenter king).

They shouldn't be left anywhere were the ultra violet rays can get to them. Speeds up the degradation of them.

I am not going to comment any more about this after this but you specifically mentioned their product, arguing semantics about not actually mentioning the company, especially after multiple snarky comments a week about Kegland. I will let others form their own conclusions. It is just a shame that you totally ignored the comment about light damage until it was raised by others, it is probably the more useful information for brewers with or thinking about PET vessels.
