I had a second fermentation bin that i thought i would fit a tap to it as it was the type that originaly did not have one.
I purchased the Youngs quick serve plastic tap as shown in photo below.
I cut out a 25mm hole & cleaned up the edges with a small nail file.
Fitted the tap,seal & back nut & then give the bin a good clean to wash away the small bits of plastic from drilling etc.
I filled it with water about 2 inches above the tap to check for leaks & all ok.
This morning when i looked at it i noticed a drip of water below the tap.
It is coming from where the beer would be poured from.
I washed out the barrel once again should a piece of plastic be in the tap hole but all ok.
There is still a small drip,not much but how or what should i do ?
Replace the tap or will it be ok.
Would this cause a bubble to go up through the tap into the brew ?
Any advice would be nice.
