To be honest i wasn't a big fan of Fawlty Towers or Cleese himself so will not be watching this there is enough **** on TV already we don't need more, i cannot see this being funny a bit hit.

Perhaps Cleese is hoping to put across his political views via a comedy type show. He has complained about this that and the other over the years. I believe he's a presenter on "GBNews", in good company no doubt.

He is going to have to come up with something at 82 i doubt he is going to be goose stepping saying don't mention the war and picking foreign employees off the floor and carrying them around the place.

I don’t think it’s ever a good idea to ‘revisit‘ a hit show. The expectations are often a bit too high and it ends up being shelved. Just because the original was funny in the mid 1970s doesn’t mean it’s going to be as good in this day and age.

Probably doing it because he hasn't finished paying off all his ex wives! I would like to think it would work but FT was what it was, great for the time but has had its day.
