I would defend anyone's right to publish fake news even when it's absurd and makes them look like a letterbox. Eh?
Surely NOT the BBC!!
Two headlines in two days:
Go on! Admit it! You were thinking of Geraint Thomas and Lewis Hamilton weren't you!
- "Tour d France winner held for assault"
- "Hamilton axed from charity over burka tweet"
WRONG!
They grabbed the headlines for me but after a very quick perusal I lost interest in both subjects.
- The "Tour de France winner held for assault" was Jan Ullrich who won the TdF over 20 years ago!
- The "Hamilton axed from charity over burka tweet" was some obscure woman called Christine who is married to a UKIP member of the Welsh Assembly!
PS
One year the Tour de France passed very near to where we live when we are in France. We weren't there at the time, but on the road where the Tour had passed by someone painted "Ullrich" and the shape of a huge syringe ...
... although Jan Ullrich was never convicted of doping. aunsure....
Happy Days! :thumb:
