How Do ,
Thanks for the kind words ; Yep I know the Barclay - Perkins Blog ,
I`ve been in touch with Ron , and we`ve exchanged old brewing records and , Tech info details ! .
I was planning a few research trips this year ; but things being what they are , that Idea`s gone for a Burton ; didn`t bring me one either :laugh8: .
If there are any Members who`ve got any photos of old records , I`d love to see them , and all submissions will be credited to the source etc ; though I can provide anonymity where required .
If folks can help , Pop me a DM for contact details .

And where is this blog now? I was subscribed to the newsfeed and after not getting updates for some time went to see what's happened. What I saw, was the Corporation of Evil Google's announcement the blog has been removed. Violation of 1880s' recipes copyright, I suppose?

Make Mine a Magie's was a treasure trove to me. I brewed some of my best beers by the MMM recipes.
If it's gone for good, it's a really bad loss.

Yeah, losing that site is a bit tragic. But not "sinister". Edd's decision. He didn't want it distracting from work on his book (at least that's how I gleaned it? I.e. not actually from "the horse's mouth" 🐎).

Google do cache some of the material on their sites, but it can be a struggle to navigate (I certainly couldn't capture more than about half of it).

Ron Pattinson has mentioned he needs to cover more of the "provincial" breweries (like Edd was doing) rather than concentrate on the big city boys (reading one of his recent blog post somewhere).

Meanwhile, there is mountains of Ron's stuff to sift through and I continue to try and make the Durden Park Beer Circle stuff (and other stuff) more accessible developing the old style malt (amber and brown) "emulations" (the "emulations" are an alternative to trying to actually make the stuff, or, much, much, worse; using "modern" amber and brown malts).

Nice to know that @BeerGuy2020 is OK and working on his book and that nothing really sinister has happened.

I have all his blog posts from March to August 2021 saved in my RSS-feed account, and what I missed (a whole year, from March 2020) I tried to recover from the Wayback Machine, but yeah, it's fragmentary and barely navigable there.

Missed his slightly quirky posts but Rons blog is a mine of information. I wonder if he ever sells many books with so much material being on his blog.
