Just settled down to watch the opening match of the 2020 (2021) tournament. I'm not a huge football fan but I do like a good international comp.

Ideal accompaniment to a good beer acheers.

Turks passing, passing, passing. Italy looking spicy when they get going.

I'll watch any game I get chance to yeah - love international comps.

Italy looking bright. Hope England bring as much verve and energy as Italy have in this first half.

I'm in. Don't follow football anymore, except the international comps. Looking forward to sunday actually. Day off, beers and football.

Not a great deal of discipline, but they're up for it - a different Italy to years gone by. They actually look happy to be on the pitch today.

Turkey only started closing Italy down since they were 2 goals down. No good, now three goals to Italy!
Italy have played well. I'd hate to see how England would play against Italy.

I'm not overly fussed about football. Take it or leave it. I mostly can't see why supporters become so invested in the success of 11 players running around a square of grass and kicking a sack.

It's the nation Vs nation element that's most compelling. I know it shouldn't be, because borders are arbitrary, but it adds a bit of spice.

The whole idea of spectator sport is somewhat bizarre, especially golf! If I'm engaged in sport at all I'd rather be doing it myself (running, cycling, climbing, maybe even badminton or football) than watching it. Strange.
