I tried Ribena wine and boiled it for 15 minutes, it took weeks to get down to 1020 and having read many threads on this wine i now know boiling Ribena will not remove potassium sorbate (the preservative in Ribena) this kills the yeast slowly and fermentation finishes early, its up to you but i would use something else.
 
If you wish to use ribena i would suggest using the 1L cartons of ready to drink juice, they are available in most supermarkets and don't contain preservatives.
