Hi
I'm planning my future AG recipes and the Duvell clone recipe states that it needs to be conditioned for a month at 2 degrees before bottling - given the awkwardness of ferment vat in a fridge would it do any harm to prime and bottle then place in the fridge for this period and afterwards warm condition for 3 weeks? :hmm:

You would be better to put it in a keg in the fridge then bottle, the flavour profile will be much better if conditioned in bulk.

It may also be wise to reseed each bottle with a bit of yeast when you bottle up.

After a month in a fridge it will probably have all dropped out. Just a couple of grains of a good flocculating yeast (s04?) when you prime, and that should make sure you keep your beer 'alive' and get a good amount of carbonation.

I see that this is going to be awkward ....small available fridge with a need to find practical sized containers (and I suppose 2 litre pet bottles will do for some of the load?).

See if you can get hold of some food grade plastic 'jerry cans'.
They sit nicely in the bottom of a fridge.

I'm wondering if I can put the brew into plastic bag 20l type container (with tap etc)) in the fridge, :hmm: and after conditioning then gradually warm and dump the bottom half of a Duvell bottle into this with priming sugar, then bottle within a 4 hour period ...would this do?
