Finally managed to Brew Dubbel last week. Fermantation gone well, down from 1067 to 1012.

Was planning to leave in Primary for 2 weeks and then in secondary for 3-4 weeks before bottling. Having done bit of reading on some US forums, appears some brewers negate moving to secondary and bottle/keg straight from Primary.

Now thinking of leaving in Primary for 5 weeks and then bottling.

Can anymore advise on Pros/Cons of doing this?

Thx

I've done it both ways. Usually, when I go to secondary, it's for an extended period of cold conditioning. I always secondary my Belgians because of that. I've left beers in primary for 5 weeks and kegged too. I've also had beers in primary for 2 weeks and gone straight to keg. I think it's your choice and what you want to do.
