We have enough water in Scotland to make up ANY shortfall in England's water supply, BUT for several reasons, the powers that be have blocked that...
Firstly, the cost of running pipelines is prohibitive, but in fact all you would have to do is get it far enough to feed into the rivers that feed reservoirs, but even that is no allowed for fear of introducing some water born insects, larvae - whatever - into an ecosystem where it's not normally found...
So, while England quite possibly may struggle with water supplies this year, Scotland has no such concerns :whistle:
Of course, while we can brag about high water quality, and its ready availability, the down side is that it often feels like we never actually have a summer :lol: :lol:
