Been all grain a while now, but did my first pilsner on Sat....all went well but I decided to place a woodfords hop bag/sock over the copper filter tube so as to make the wort even "finer"..... Big mistake, it took nearly an hour to drain the cooled wort into the FV...take my advice- let the hops do the straining !

Been there, done that and it's one reason why leaf hops still have a place, they make a great filter for a lot of the proteins however I am slowly coming around to pellets for flavour.
