Afternoon chaps, I recently thought i would have a little experiment with one of my brews by dry hopping, all was going well until i looked in this afternoon and it seems to have developed a skin!
I have attached a pic

It smell ok and the white blobs i think are bubbles trapped under the skin, the lines are creases, so my question is this normal?

You sometimes get a lot of oil coming off the hops which can form a layer. Did you sanitise the hog-bag before dropping it in? The hops are pretty self-cleaning, but the bags can harbour nasties. If it is an oily layer you are probably ok, if it is different somehow then it might be more sinister.

Start drinking it, when it starts to taste off stop... in all seriousness I've done it myself and it's better than waiting and having to throw the lot :drink:

Can't tell from your picture but skin doesn't sound good, sorry. How did you sanitise the bag?

I had the bag in some VWP for about 15 mins then gave it a good rinse, i was going to just throw the hops in and put a filter on the siphon so will be a bit miffed if it is the bag!
Incidently the bag was new.

I don't have a keg as i usually bottle all my brews
