As my Grandpa would have said, if you're a man, you'll be needing one of these ...

I have several of these passed down a couple of generations. I love them.

I too have a couple of these passed down from my dad, i used to leave one in my local (where i also worked) and had my usual lager in it :thumb:

Those tumblers are great. Proper heavy and hold the head and temperature perfect. My Dad had a couple, not sure if he still does, you knew when you were holding it and the weight meant that it kept the temps good. Cracking glasses them.

Always a Guinness glass for my stout, Stella glass with an etched widget for my lagers - these really do keep the head going brilliantly, and a large wine glass for me vino - yes with me little finger sticking out.

I'm cultured as owt me you knarr.....

And when the barbies on.... :hmm:

....out comes the Holsten Stein

No I don't as long as you have clear beer before you bottle and you have left it to condition the yeast compacts down and doesn't get disturbed. It is yeast dependent but I don't have any problems with Nottingham US-05 or Windsor.

Looks like I need to try and clear my beer better.

Try and get it crystal clear by putting it on a cold concrete floor, It is amazing how a concrete floor acts as a heat sink even in summer. :thumb:

Problem is i live in a flat with laminate foors. There is an underground gargare with a concrete floor but i am worried that transporting it from the garage to the kitchen will just stir up all the sediment again. I will give it a try with my next brew and see how it goes.

Clear it in the garage then just before bottling transfere into a secondry without the sediment a little sediment won't harm but this way you will get rid of the majority of it :thumb: :thumb:

Either that or put it in the fridge
