Does Muntons Dried Malt Extract have any active enzymes?

I'm using Muntons Spraymalt Light. I want to add 20% flaked maize to my brew. However I'll need barley malt enzymes to convert the maize starch. Is DME dead?

Also, what's the difference between diastatic malt powder and DME? From the definitions I've read they seem to be the same thing.

It ded. DME just means dried malt extract. Diastatic malt extra used to be a thing but it's pretty much non-existent here now.

Most, if not all, malt extract available to homebrewers in the UK contains no diastase, whether dried (DME or spray malt) or liquid (LME). Years ago it was available as EDME Diastatic Malt Syrup (DMS), but as far as I am aware this is now unobtainable. If you have found a source of diastatic malt extract in the UK perhaps you could share it, I certainly couldn't find one when I looked some time ago when I was extract brewing.
And you are correct, you require some diastase presence to convert the starch in grains like wheat, maize and oats in a mash.

Amylase powder is available. Has anyone tried this when using adjuncts in extract brews?
