Ok, its time to invest in a PH meter, can anybody advice me on which I should buy? I understand they have to be calibrated, is this a simple process? My budget is max £100, will I get a good one for this?
Many thanks

You should be able to get a decent one for £100. Yes they do need to be calibrated and you can buy solution to do this. You are supposed to do this every time you use it, but I have to admit I don't. I did it once and it was fine. I have a cheap Chinese one and it works well. It came with 2 solutions to calibrate and a small screwdriver. Cost me about £10 off ebay, but I'm not expecting it to last for years as the probe will wear out.

Thanks for the advice. I hear mixed reviews when it comes to buying, some people say you need to spend a good £80 minimum but I've spotted a few for under £20? Not sure what to do..
