OK i have been really liking the coopers mexican cerveza at the moment and was going to do another one. I was then told of a cerveza called desperado, which has a hint of tequila in it.

What i was planning was getting the brew made up and then splitting it in half before fermantation. I was then going to add tequila to one of the halves to get 20 pints and see what its like.

Anyone got any advice or tried this before?

I would add the tequila afterwards, if I was you.

Also take some of the flat finished beer (say half a pint), add a little tequila and taste. This way you can get the dosage right to your taste and also make sure you don't overdo it, or even don't do it if it doesn't taste right.
