My daughter had a date today......
When she returned, like all concerned parents, i.e.nosy buggers we asked some questions.
Has he a hobby ? asks I hoping for an answer along the lines of home brewing with a big shiny set up. :D
Oh he is into UFC says she.... wazzat ?
Well its dirty fighting apparently. fight box wrestle kick and what have you......
will he want to sit in my chair when he visits....because he can...I wont stop him.....

She says he's a BIG lad, I didn't go into that any further.

Anyways I looked it up on You tube and came across this fight....hope he aint as big as this ! Wouldn't want him coming for dinner....

600lb I'd be more worried if he sat on you in your chair! :

Can't beat a good pub door in the face or pulling their jacket down and dropping the nut on them ;)

That's proper dirty fighting ;)

My girls are only 5 & 6 but I'm already dreading what they might bring home. I think 2 girls were punishment for my promiscuous youth.

LOL, I hope mine would eventually choose some philosopher or maybe at most a computer programmer. Like myself. :D

he hee spaniels ears... I couldn't imagine 600 lbs but 42 stone I can sort of visualise.....sort off.

God, can't wait! :( my daughters are 10 and nearly 13 although she has been 15 for about a year!

Deffo gods punishment!

Good luck Brian, show him your brewery all men like beer!

Thanks PD. My daughter's not yet two. You've just ruined the next 13 years with worry...

There's some guys that go to the crossfit gym I go to that are just absolutely massive and strong as oxen. Nice as pie though. A friend of mine was a cage fighter for a while, he jokingly got me in a headlock outside a nightclub before not realising how good his technique was. I couldn't breathe at all and had to tap out. He didn't stop apologising to me for months.

Yep makes you laugh!
You know that look when you tell someone your going to be a dad and it's going to be a girl
It's a look that you don't really know what it means until you are a dad then it hits you !
The bastards knew and they didn't tell me! ;)

" hahaha welcome to the club son"

Goatreich; personally I find the muscle Mary's the most scary people in the gym!

Another father (of a boy) said to me, "You've got it tough mate, I only have to worry about one willy... You have to worry about them all!"

My daughter is 10 but my blackbelt certificate is on the wall for any prospective boyfriends to see when they come calling, but not for a couple of years yet I hope.

As regards that fight, very poor! Fatboy's hands were reasonably swift but other than that he had very little technique just weight.

Now you asked if he has a hobby and she said UFC but does that mean MMA fighting or just watching it? If its the latter watching UFC does not make you tough.

Its actual fighting I'm afraid.... he enters comps but don't know any details yet.......

She might drop him yet.....

Some of these young fighters are strong as an ox and massively competent at their art, but a lot depends on the kind of club they belong to, if it has grown out of a martial arts background with a basis of discipline and respect then they tend to produce decent blokes.

I was training with a 20 year old last year and and he picked up all 12.5 stone of me with 1 arm, when I attempted and arm lock, then slammed me back onto the 1.5" mat laid over concrete! Ouch!!! He's spent several months training mauy thai (Thai kick boxing) and jujitsu in Thailand and now fights on the semi-pro MMA circuit (i.e. there is prize money for the fights) but a nicer chap, off the mat, you couldn't hope to meet.
