I'm still waiting to order my equipment for my first brew (awaiting payday...), but a thought just popped into my head...
I have a spare cupboard in the house, that I plan to ferment and store in. The plan is to shelve it out and to ferment on/near floor level and then store bottles & a barrel on shelves above that. There is a hatch to the loft above the cupboard so there is plenty of air flow.
My question is: If I am fermenting in there, will the tempreture be too high to store the beer nicely?
I still haven't decided between bottles or a barrel, but will probably end up with both.
