Any ideas on how to fix this broken cooler wall, after having a leak and trying to undo some tight plumbing I lost the rag and seen red with the cooler

In hindsight I am deeply upset and want to return it to its former glory  , well if possible

The lip below the hole would make it difficult to use a bigger fitting so interested to know what others would do in my situation, would be nice not to end up on the trash heap

Appreciate any help....thanks

another picture to show the lip under the hole which would make it difficult to use washers?

Given those cracks would it not be an idea to seal up this hole completely and drill a fresh hole elsewhere? Reduce the chances of leaks due to stress ?

i would be more worried about contamination lurking in the cracks...treat yourself to a new cheapo coolbox !!!

No expert but,

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK :thumb:

Toxic to aquatic organisms
May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment

You can say that again

What about using plastic pipe solvent glue to seal the cracks. The type used to glue waste pipe fittings. That glue melts the plastic slightly and sets rock hard to weld the joint. It's fairly thin so should seep into the cracks. Or at worst you could glue a piece of plastic over the damaged area and then put a new bulkhead in another position?

i reckon if you show a full picture of the mash tun every one will say bin it !! buy a new one...for the money you will spend on repairing it :wha:

its an expensive 60 litre cooler, I'll try a hot butter knife and some similar plastics see can I fuse the cracks, supposedly works for others after reading around.
