What could they have done so wrong!


I'm thinking that they maybe used a fermentation vessel that had some chemical toxin's in it.

I can't think of any bacterium that could have easily contaminated the wort.

It depends. If they have captured botulism through storing their wort vacuum for a while, this could be possible.

Tried boosting the abv with methanol?

Could have used something toxic in the making. Did they use some type of kit or create something on their own?

Would be interesting to see what the autopsy shows.

That's a point. So not botulism then. Wonder what it could be. I've never heard of anything like it

I wondered if they might have done something like that - not brewed a beer but concocted something using nasty alcohols/chemicals.

I've only clicked on the link in the OP and not looked anywhere else so going just by that
