OP, I hope you dont mind if I piggy back with a question too.

What are the main benefits of these over a plastic barrel then?
I assume there is more to it than 'pimping your barrel'... :whistle:
 
They take up a smaller footprint

You don't need to prime them so no yeast sediment to disturb.

They take much higher pressures . . . so great for lager

They will last a lifetime

You will recoup your investment if you decide to sell on
 
Also they are great for cleaning. .. You can scrub the hell out of them. .. Can do that with plastic. .. Also the kids or wife arms fit inside to reach the bottom if they are long enough :D

I've never scrubbed a corny, with the exception of round the lid I have not even used a cloth or other instrument to clean them. I use oxy type cleaners (laundry stain remover at the moment), rinse then starsan.
