Hi,

Just thought I would ask... I've just put a cornie into the kegerator, but it won't dispense, which is weird because it was fine when I cleaned it out before putting the beer in.
Any ideas why this would be? I've tried a different disconnect on it to see if there was a problem with it. The beer was filtered, so it shouldn't be hops/trub. The only thing I can think of is that the dip tube might have fallen off or something.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do next?

Thanks guys.

Stab in the dark but have you put the out line on the in line? I know that they shouldn't fit but if you put enough pressure on the disconnect it will go on I believe. Other than that I would let the pressure out and take the lid off and have a look in there (don't forget to purge again if you do).

Yeah that was what I thought originally, but I did check! I think you are right, I'll have to pop the lid and take a peek.

It should be impossible for the dip tube to fall off because it's inserted from the top and has a metal lip that won't let it fall through. Are you sure there's pressure in the keg? Are you sure you've pushed both disconnects on fully?

Thanks @foxbat and @Banbeer , it was a sort of combination of the two issues.
It looks like when the OH attached the beer out disconnect it went on wonky and had dislodged the little rubber O ring that lives inside the beer out post. I managed to wiggle it back into place, sort of, with a kitchen skewer and do a closed transfer into another keg (luckily had one empty). I've taken it apart now and cleaned it up, it looks ok but not perfect. Think it might be time to replace the post, it's over 8 years old I think.

Hmm, no I'm not sure.. I didn't realise there were more than one kind! It's an 23L Italian cornie that I bought years ago. I've not seen them either before or since.

I was of the same opinion about the posts but I have 4 kegs and 2 are different to the others, might be a case of taking it off and looking on a few sites to see which one is the same.
