First time I've ever tried Coopers. On the pack it looks like a 'blonde' beer but now that its brewed it has come out much darker than I expected. Its also somewhat sweater. Being a 'real ale' type I expected it to be more hoppy. I'm guessing I should have added some?
:hmm:

Found this one to be a cracking pint after a few weeks conditioning and just got better with age . Also a clear favourite with work colleagues who have tried several of my brews.

I have one of these in the fv at the minute, had a little sip yesterday when taking a gravity reading after 2 weeks. I know its early days but found it had a very bitter, hoppy after taste and not too sweet at all.
I used brewing sugar instead of beer enhancer and i didnt use the yeast that came with the kit, so maybe that explains the difference?

You saying that I also had a crafty taste before it went into the keg and it was hoppy then. Its seemed to have mellowed in the meantime but even so it is still nice beer.
