Coopers re-usable screw caps

Yo!

I just wanted to get a general view on how many times people have re-used the coopers caps. The only reason i ask is i have just bottled a mexican cerveza with brew enhancer (well its been in the bottles 4 weeks now) and this will be my 3rd brew with the same caps. I opened a few yesterday as i have started to run low on lager as im putting a stock together to keep me warm in the winter and they were as flat as a witches tit! I used 2 coopers carb drops for half the batch and 1 tsp of sugar in the other half so i was expecting a good fiz and a decent head due to the enhancer. The taste after such a short time is very good, maybe just a little sweet at the moment but great potential. Im using 500ml PET bottles and they seem pretty firm but im gutted to say the least! Has anyone else had the same problem and if so is there anything that can be done or am i better leaving them another month to hopefully improve?

You had em in the warm for at least a week, then in the cool?

I have coopers bottles and caps and some of them are on brew number 18 so far no probs with mine. I never use carb drops now I always batch prime its so much easier and cheaper!

Yeah, had them in the warm for 2 weeks. I have a small cupboard with the boiler in so its always quite warm. Would you reccomend putting them back in the warm for another week? or just give it a chance and wait for a little longer before testing again?
