Started 23 litres Coopers (Alcoholic) Ginger Beer kit on December 10th for SWMBO.
Temperature has been around 23 degrees.
Supposed to take 6 days........still gently fermenting today !!!
OG 1026 todays reading 1002.......
Why is it still fermenting with a reading of 1002 ??
Any ideas why it is taking so long to ferment out ???
Sampled it tonight.....good taste a little sweet but thats to be expected.
Cant really bottle it when it is still obviously fermenting ??
Any advice ????

i brewed a ginger beer from scratch that finished at 0992 - what did the kit give as an expected FG? I would wait untill your hydro reading is constant for two days before bottling :thumb:

The Coopers kit does not give any indication of a FG.
I will leave it alone and wait until the airlock stops blipping and then
take another reading.

sounds good to me - how much was the kit ? If you can get a kilo of fresh ginger and a few ingredients plus a bag or two sugar you can brew it cheaper from scratch, look for my fiery ginger beer post ;)

Kit was £11.85 from H&G makes 20 litres
I'm brewing it for her indoors.........can't stand the stuff myself !!!
