Started this off 6 days ago with 1kg Coopers Brew Enhancer 2, managed to get room between 15-17 degrees so hopefully that's good enough!

Got a few questions as I was going to leave it 14 days in the fv (after checking constant gravity readings) before bottling or should I leave it longer as it's at a lower temperature? Brewed this to 21l and was going to batch prime with 150g sugar, does this seem a good amount?

Also before leaving them to condition for 12 weeks somewhere much cooler, should I leave the bottles at the same 15-17 degree temp for 2 weeks to carb up or do they need to be a bit warmer?

The bottles should carb up fine in 2 weeks. If you can bottle some in plastic bottles then you can tell how it's going by how easy they are to squeeze.

Good point, I'll put some in a few plastic bottles :thumb:

Just tested gravity after 8 days and it's sitting on 1.014 so if it stays that way it'll be approx 4.2%. As I was using coopers BE2 am I looking at this dropping much more?
A quick taste and it's not too bad, clean tasting and very clear already! To be honest I will be doing this one again following ScottM's how to

Dont rush it mate. Give it a bit longer and get it down to 1008 maybe. Thats what i got mine down to after 18 days i think. Then 2 weeks in the warm to carb up , then move to cold. Smashing pint , and mine was well gone before 12 weeks

Plus 1 what bottler said.
I've done three of these in recent weeks and the two that are kegged got down to 1008, and the one that's in the FV is still active after 17 days.
I predict three weeks for this brew, even longer if needed.

Ah cheers guys, I'm happy to let this one sit for 3 weeks if necessary, I'm sure I read a few posts about fermentation stopping around 1.012-1.014 because of the BE2 so glad to see this could still go further :thumb:

I am really looking forward to trying this kit, I know I should leave it 12 weeks but that is going to be so difficult as you say  Hopefully I can save a fair few for the full 12 weeks

Managed to get this down to 1.009 in the end, bottled and batch primed a few days ago with 132g sugar. Hopefully that will be enough fizz still working out my preference for batch priming!
