Coopers brew enhancer 2 alternative?

Hey all,

I have a Coopers Mexican Cerveza beer kit and it says to use a 1Kg brew enhancer 2 or 500g of light dry malt + 250g sugar.

Is that necessary or could I just use 1Kg of sugar instead?

yeah, but it won't taste as good. you'd be better off using 500g sugar and reducing the volume of the kit to maybe 20L, it'll taste much better.

yep tis fine, 500g of that and 500g sugar will make a BKE2 more or less :

shop around for prices if you can, it costs double what it does some places!

I found a shop in west london that does it for £3.99 for 500g. Is that a decent price?
