I would want at least 500W . . . Length is not that important so if it has to be longer that is not an issue. . . .you just expand the length of the RIMS chamber . . . And with the flow through the chamber and the PID controlling heat application scorching/overheating is very unlikely

As for PIDS . . . you only need one and you want the probe in the outflow from the RIMS chamber . . .my personal preference is for Pt100 probes as they are more suitable for the temperature range we are dealing with (J and K) are best for kiln type operations.
