Hi all
I'm new on here. I made a connoisseur shiraz yesterday in a a wilko bin. I didn't put an airlock in the lid. Today it's bulging and the plastic look like it's stretching. I gave it a push and the gas came out. Should I put an airlock in the lid?
 
Does it have a hole for one? if not you can lay the lid on top to stop nasties getting in, the layer of CO2 produced by fermentation will protect it.
 
Just loosen the lid and put a cloth over the top for a little added protection, works for me when i get the odd lively one..............
