I've done some searching on this but am yet to discover a decent picture of a solar projects pump all connected up. The pump I have is the PUSH FIT VERSION not the threaded one. What makes it awkward is that the two fitting as different sizes?? I've just purchased some of Vossy's tubing and was wondering if the same tubing will fit to both connectors with the help of jubilee clips or do I need to use smaller tubing?

Smaller tubing Solar Project shop sells appropriate tubing . . .which is excellent.

Although a piece of that on the barbs and then Vossys would fit onto that with a jubilee clip

But why do these pumps come with two different sized connections? It seems a bit of a hassle.

So you are suggesting that I push on some smaller tubing then fit vossys over that?

thanks :)

Well actually the larger inlet provides less restriction to the flow than a smaller one would do, and at 14.1 mm is an excellent push fit for vossys hose as it is.

That would work with the 10mm outlet, as I said at 14.1mm the inlet will take the HBF hose fine. . . . SPS sell some 12mm hose which is really nice and heavy duty, which you could use an inch or so over the outlet and push vossys over that . . .or use the SPS Hose for your outlets completely as it will be a tight push fit on 10mm fittings.

bigger tubing came via vossy.
small tube is standard syphon tube from small local home brew shop.
never get any leaks :thumb:

Using a little bit of Craig's syphon tube and Vossy's silicon tube, this is how I did mine.

I later added a jubilee clip to the outlet.

Like the bypass; that might get copied :thumb:
I use an old train set transformer to vary the speed.
