Anyone ever done one?

Would like to try and win an award this year, or at least have my beer judged. Any experiences, discussion etc welcome! :)

see the hot break thread, theres beer tasting competitions there. you need to register your beer first though, if your not going im sure you can send your entries to someone who is.I might be entering my first 2 AG brews for a laugh!

ah, that would be cool :) I do intend to try and attend, but it's a mad weekend already for me! Definitely gonna try though cos it's quite local :)

The hot break is a good way forward. Last years spring thing we got our judged and a report given to each entry.

Yeah it was good, I enjoyed the comp and the feedback was excellent. Can't make this year as the wife thinks our 10th anniversary is more important, I tried explaining that brewing got us this far (me in the garage her in the house no chance to argue) but she just gave me one of those looks. :lol:

you should have told her you were taking her away for the weekend, then turn up at the hot break lol, that could have ended up in divorce lol!

I entered a comp last December at Thornbridge Brewery, came nowhere...

Entering at least 1 brew for Hot Break..

And don't forget the CBA National on the 15th September. If you are brewing for the hot break . . . another couple of bottles for Bristol is Nothing.

You don't have to attend to take part :)

Prize for the champion brewer is a Weeks All Expenses Paid brewing trip to Nogne in Norway :shock:
