hi can anyone tell me if it matters if i use homebrew co2 or co2 for shooting or welding on my mini kegs, just thought how much cheaper the non beer co2 is.

as far as I understand it all co2 is the same. however food grade co2 tanks are cleaned out during refill to prevent anything nasty getting in to the beer. I use welding co2 and have had no problems.

I think the gas is the same but food grade gas bottles are lined with glass or something to make sure there is no rust or anything else getting in the beer, I guess that would make them easier to sanitise as posted earlier

I use aquarium CO2 with no problems
